Lifelong learning

“No, this is not the beginning of a new chapter in my life; this is the beginning of a new book! That first book is already closed, ended, and tossed into the seas. This new book is newly opened, has just begun. Look, it is the first page! And it is a beautiful one!” ~ C. JoyBell C.

For me, the best part of leading community workshops — in person again — is the privilege of spending time with fascinating people who want to keep growing. This fall, I’ve met many new friends who are ready to brush off the dust of the pandemic and reboot their lives. They’re ready for the next adventure. Listening to their thoughts, goals, and experiences is always inspiring, and I learn twice as much from them as they do from me.

Adult enrichment classes of any kind are a good way to kickstart your own reinvention. Start where you are. Check out the programs offered at your library (they’re usually free) and other continuing education programs at your local high school or community college. ~CL
