… And don’t look back
“Contrary to popular opinion, quitting is for winners. Knowing when to quit — change direction, leave a toxic situation, demand more from life, give up on something that wasn’t working and move on — is a very important skill that people who win in life always seem to have.” ~Steven Bartlett
Have you ever had to leave a toxic workplace or difficult relationship that created more stress and drama than satisfaction? Did you ever find yourself investing way more of yourself in something/anything than you were getting out of it? If so, you understand the merits of quitting.
Quitting is underrated — and sometimes it’s the only route back to your self-respect and peace of mind. As today’s quote reminds us, “giving up on something” isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Maybe something you’ve been doing for a while has run its course. Maybe you’ve spent enough time trying to repair the broken thing that still isn’t working. So, let it go. Quit it. Break free and keep moving. ~CL
