Cindy, how wonderful, congratulations! I love your idea of taking life's detritus and creating a new vision. That's what our lives are--what we were born with, what we added and what happened along the way, the themes we grew into.

Loved the Shrine to Mary, particularly, for the humor.

You have a great eye for art, congrats on having your work exhibited. A very exciting time for you. I love the photo here of the insurance ledger, there's a soft, vintage feel to the entire piece that invites browsing, and touch, too. Very nice.

Thanks, Deb! You've got a good editorial eye, my friend. Yes, I did change the bio a bit, consolidating some of the stuff and eliminating a graph. But the quote has been there for a while. My son will soon update the section with a new photo, so I had to do some clean-up. It's still way too long, but since the site doubles as a resume for writing jobs, I have to squeeze as much as I can into the "About" section.
And here's the public link my artwork album on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=91666&id=668010241&l=f2da76ffc2

Congratulations, Cindy. Are there photos of these pieces on Facebook?

I'll read the article, thx.

and just as an added thought, I wonder if you changed your info on the sidebar, because I hadn't noticed the last paragraph before, about bring art being about real life. Love that . And I love that you encourage others.
