The garden beds are clean and our lettuce is planted. Spring is my fave season. It makes for productive work in the garden and lots of time to “weed” the head as well.

My husband and I worked in our front yard to weed and mulch. This past weekend, I helped weed at our local middle school. And I need to weed out my closet and do the big switch to a warm-weather wardrobe. It’s time consuming, but well worth the new mental outlook it provides me.

we’re outdoors cleaning up these days, like you. indoors too. yes, emotional baggage is finding its way to the dumpster too. the garden is shaping up right along with my mindset. it feels so good to be blooming inside myself in interesting and surprising ways. you too, i imagine.

Oh Starrlife, I wish it were “romantic” … I’ve been washing clothes all day, and packing things up for the Vietnam Veterans pick-up, in between scrubbing mud from my garden boots after weeding sessions outdoors ….

Oh my gosh I wish my spring was so romantic! In the Spring I always find myself looking around and seeing all that I’d like to do and not having enough time. Like gardening. I painted my daughter’s bedroom and then, of course, was dissatisfied with the bureau and the process of moving things around began! But the leaves are popping out so I’m happy!

Your comment on outdoor clean-up being a perfect way to unload emotional baggage reminds me of one of my favorite lines in literature, from Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine … “Dig in the earth, delve in the soul.” Oh, so true. Enjoy your weekend!
