Laughter really helps

There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt.” — Erma Bombeck
If Tina Fey were running for VP, I’d vote for her in a New York minute. I’m only half kidding. With so much political negativity tainting this campaign, humor is a healthy escape. Hats off to Tina for making us laugh through these incredibly stressful times, gosh darn it! – CL

Sadly, Tina is more qualified.

Hi Annie –
I know you live in Canada, as do a few of my cousins. I recently saw this column from Calgary, and found the Canadian view most interesting and spot-on:

My whole family has been enjoying the Tina Fey skits. I think they’re funny because she exaggerates what is already so bizarre we can hardly believe it. I know it feels good to laugh.

What’s so funny is that Tina Fey often changes very little of what Gov. Palin actually has said. In a way, I find the SNL sketches seem more “real” than the actual debate!

You are right, Cindy. It’s nice to be able to laugh right now. We sure need it.
